My name is Eddie Duncan I was born in St Helens in 1939 and I'm still here in 2005.
I now live about half a mile from where I was brought up.
I started school during the war at Laffak infants (now no longer in existence).
I moved to Windle C of E In Union St (also no longer in existence) and then moved to Parish Church for my final year in junior school
.
I finished my education at Cowley Grammar leaving in 1956.
I have had a wide variety of jobs but I am now retired.
I am interested in Computing, Local History and Genealogy.
The main purpose in creating this site is to publish the Family Tree of my children.
All the people included on this site are blood relatives or spouses or step children of blood relatives
of my children.
NOTE:-
For convenience I have used the name Rubery for all variations of this name.
I have been working on this for the past five years
but in actual fact I am a
"pigmy standing on the shoulders of giants."
Most of the information I have gleaned has come from the internet
(Family Search, Ancestry.Com, Free BMD, 1837 On Line).
I am also grateful to several people who have given me information
which has pointed me in the right direction.

Since I last updated,
I have been contacted by my cousin Joan Gregory in Canada
and my half 3rd cousin Jan McQuellin in Australia,
both of whom I will be incuding in my tree very shortly.
